Neil Robertson claimed a moral boosting 10-6 victory over Mark Allen to book a final slot against Ronnie O’Sullivan for the second time in a matter of weeks.
It was the Pistol who started the semifinal the better of the two player’s by racing into a 2-0 lead only for Robertson to win 5 frames in a row to lead 5-2. Allen managed to win the last frame of the first session to trail by only 2 frames at 5-3.
The evening session started in positive fashion for Allen as he won 3 of the first four frames to level the match at 6-6 at the mid session interval.
After the interval Robertson went into power mode with a string of breaks to win 4 frames in a row to wrap up a 10-6 victory.
Tomorrow’s final will be the second meeting in a fortnight between the two so called Aussies and it promises to be a great final.
