The return of the English Open next week

Next week – Monday 12th October we see the return of Snooker to Milton Keynes for another phenomenal week of play .

Defending champion Mark Selby and world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan are among the leading names battling it out for the English Open.

The event features 128 of the world’s leading players, battling for the famous Steve Davis Trophy

Selby -European Masters champion begins his campaign to retain the trophy against China’s Fan Zhengyi on the opening day with O’Sullivan facing France’s leading player Brian Ochoiski later on Monday.

We also see the World number one Judd Trump compete against the rising star Louis Heathcote in his opening match on Tuesday.

This will be the fifth staging of the English Open with Stuart Bingham (2018), O’Sullivan (2017) and Liang Wenbo (2016) which also sees the other players to compete to claim the title

The English Open is the first of the season’s Home Nations events, to be followed by tournaments for Northern Ireland, Scotland which takes place at Milton Keynes all before Christmas .
