Louis Heathcote battled back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 and claim his tour cards in one of the most amazing turnarounds you could ever see. Riley Parsons (pictured below) beat the experienced Peter Lines 4-3 to win his tour card and get a crack at the professional tour for the first time. Parsons has snuck under the radar throughout this event with a string of solid displays and this confidence building victory over someone of Peter’s undoubted class will do him wonders in the near future.
Chen Zifan (pictured below) trail blazed his way through event 2 and beat Au Chi Wai 4-0 to immediately regain his tour card.Zifan fell off the tour after a very poor second year but showed in glimpses last season with victories over the likes of Shaun Murphy and Barry Hawkins exactly what a fine player he is and with those year’s of experience to count on he is in a much better position to deal with the pressure of the professional tour.
