Q School brings out the old faces

With the Crucible finished the attention for all snooker fans turn to the Q school which starts on may 18th and finishes on june 4th at Robin’s park leisure centre in Wigan.
The Q school is an amateur minefield where over 200 players will be scrapping it out over 3 tournaments to win one of the 16 tour cards up for grabs.

With snooker being one of those sports that you just can’t let go of it was interesting to look through the draw and see what old faces had decided to dust off thier cues and have another crack at stardom, And it was great to see the likes of Surinder Gill (who once played at the Crucible), Dave Finbow, Adrian Rosa, Barry Pinches and Simon Bedford who were also former professionals all giving it another go.

Snookerfans.co.uk sponsored player Sean Maddock is in good spirits going into his Q school campaign and he told howeveryoulikebreak.com reporter Emma Maflin ” I’ve been practicing really hard with player’s like Robbie Williams and Ricky Walden so that’s really helping me and if i can brush up on my safety ill be a handful for anyone i play”. Maddock who is down in snooker history and the youngest player to make a 147 in a competitive match is a real talent and we will be following his progress all the way.
