We see Judd Trump crowned the new English Open Champion for 2020 beating Neil Robertson 9-8 in tonight’s final.

Judd Trump now also wins £70,000 and the Steve Davis Trophy as well as becoming the first player to win the first of the three Home Nations events this year .

The 2020 English open was Trump’s 27th ranking final and has now secured his 18th title win . This now brings him level with Robertson and Mark Selby in sixth place on the all-time list. Trump has won his last nine consecutive ranking finals – just two short of Stephen Hendry’s record of 11.

Winning the English open is his first title win since he won the Gibraltar Open in March earlier this year .
