Today we saw John Higgins lift the Cazoo Trophy and a cheque for £125,000.

After seeing off 15 of the worlds top players to reach the finals over the last 6 days we saw John Higgins who is ranked number 6 in the world win over Ronnie O’Sullivan who is ranked 2 in the world today at the finals today at Milton Keynes . The last time both players competed against each other in a finals ranking event was over 16 years ago in 2005

The finals which started at 1pm where we saw Higgins win the first 5 frames straight then round 6 went to O’Sullivan , round 7 went to Higgins and round 8 went to O’Sullivan so before this afternoons break the score was Higgins 6 & O’Sullivan 2.

Ronnie O’Sullivan achieved the highest century score of the tournament with his 144 against John Higgins.

This evenings matches commenced at 7pm with Higgins in the lead . Round 9, 11, 12 ,13 was won by Higgins, Round 10 went to O’Sullivan .

The final score was John Higgins 10 -3 over Ronnie O’Sullivan

Tomorrow Mon 1st march we see the start of the Betvictor Gibraltar open which takes place until the 7th March at Milton Keynes.
