Leicester lad Louis Heathcote is one of the newest additions to the World Snooker Tour. He qualified through Q-School – Event 2 in May this year. He won six matches to earn his two-year card for the very first time at the age of 21.
Louis faced Ryan Day for his first professional match of the season at the Kaspersky Riga Masters Qualifiers and showed his ability beating the Welshman 4-3. Louis didn’t make any high breaks in the match but he still managed to keep Day at bay and secure victory.
Louis then went on to face Noppon Saengkham in the International Championship Qualifiers. Having to sit in his chair while Noppon made two centuries back to back to take a 4-3 lead couldn’t have been easy but Louis showed great determination and confidence firing back with breaks of 77, 103 and 78 to win the match 6-4. What a fantastic start to his season!
