Barry Hawkins kept his cool to stroke in a classy break of 69 against reigning champion Kyren Wilson in the deciding frame to win the Paul Hunter classic in front of a packed Stadhalle in Furth Nuremberg.
Hawkins cruised through the field firing in 3 centuries on route to the final and this win will do his confidence wonders as he has had a very slow start to the season considering the class act that he is.
Unfortunately this tournament is invitation only so many of the top stars of our game were not present but on a plus side we got to see the emerging talents like Ryan Davies, Florian Nuessle and Ben Mertens all pictured below.
The next month will be a busy one as the 6 reds, Shanghai masters and China Championships take over and howeveryoulikebreak.com will be at all 3 events so stay tuned for all interviews and news from those events.
Have a great bank holiday weekend snooker fans……..
