Favourites continue to fall in Wigan

Peter Lines was the latest former tour player to fall at the first hurdle as he was defeated 4-3 by York’s Ashley Hugill.
It was a close fought match and a tough first round draw for both players as they have just fallen off the professional tour and the ramblings about seeded draws has been constant talking point amongst the player’s.
Many think that the q school should be seeded and it’s a fair point as the draw has now become a big talking point, You have two former tour player’s facing each other and then on another table two player’s that are lets just say struggling and it seems very harsh.
Former tour player Gary Lees battled back from 3-0 down against Sean O’Sullivan to record and an excellent 4-3 victory.
There were also good solid wins for former tour player’s Barry Pinches, Adrian Rosa and Fraser Patrick.

The overall conditions look pretty decent but you can see the pressure on player’s faces as the thought of gaining that precious tour card gets closer and closer.
