Day Six of Round 1 we see the last 4 players looking to compete today to enable them to have an opportunity to secure the last 2 places in Round 2 . Plus the start Round 2 matches also commenced this afternoon with Ronnie O’Sullivan versus Anthony McGill.

Players are competing in the best of 19 frames plus still at the top of the centuries leader board is Mark Selby with his 142 score .

Here is the update on the last set of players competing in Round 1 matches

During this afternoon matches we saw Mark Davis who was 5-4 ahead of Shaun Murphy at the start of play following on from yesterday match . The game developed quickly with Murphy securing the 6 frames need to win 10-7 over Davis which guaranteed his place in Round 2 and will be competing against Yan Bingtao,

At the start of evening play Mark Selby was 4 frames ahead of Kurt Maflin with his 5-1 lead from yesterday match. Then this evening we saw Selby steam ahead with securing 5 frames straight to continue his journey to Round 2 with his 10-1 win over Maflin and will now meet Mark Allen on Saturday.

We also saw the start of Round 2 matches with the first set of players being Ronnie O’Sullivan competing against Anthony McGill with both players at 4 frames each . Both O’Sullivan and McGill are due back at the table tomorrow morning starting at 10am

Also this evening competing in Round 2 Neil Robertson was playing Jack Lisowski. At the end of this evening we saw Robertson ahead by 5-3 over Lisowski  . They are due back to continue in Round 2 tomorrow afternoon at 2.30,
