Today we start the start of the 2022 Scottish Open which is taking place at the Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh until the 4 December 2022 .
The tournament is the sixth ranking event of the 2022–23 season, and the second tournament in the Home Nations Series, following on from the Northern Ireland Open . There is still the English Open and the Welsh Open.
We saw the current defending Champion Luca Brecel compete today in Round one against Frazer Patrick . Sadly it wasn’t Brecel day losing 3-4 to Patrick which means the Title and a winners cheque for £80,000 is all to play for
