Ronnie O’Sullivan powered into the last 32 in sensational fashion firing in 3 centuries on route to a 4-1 victory over Michael Georgiou.

Ding Junhui continued his impressive comeback against his compatriot Tian Pengfei with a 4-1 victory. It’s great to see Ding return to competitive action after such a long break due to the corona virus and he looked as sharp as ever today and will take some stopping this week.

Scotland’s Frazer Patrick produced a very solid performance in beating the talented Hossein Vafaei by a 4-2 scoreline. Frazer has had some impressive results in the last couple of events and seems to be growing in confidence.

There where also good afternoon wins for Luca Brecel and Martin Gould who both won 4-0 respectively against Stuart Carrington and Scott Donaldson.

Neil Robertson came through a 4-2 winner in a tough match against Thailand’s Sunny Akani. Robertson is looking for his first ranking event success of the season and with his scoring looking in fine touch he has every chance of adding to his hefty trophy collection this week.
