Day 3 at the Riga masters qualifiers

Former world amateur champion Kurt Maflin got his season off to a solid start with a 4-1 victory over German professional Simon Litchenberg. Maflin started the match in excellent style stroking in a wonderful century and built on that lead by taking the second frame in quick succession. Oliver Lines produced a sparkling first round performance in his 4-1 victory over Shane Castle. Lines stroked in breaks of 53, 131 and 53 on route to victory and here’s what he had to say to howeveryoulikebreak.com reporter Curtis Braithwaite after the match.

James Cahill (pictured below) continues to impress as he powered past Jimmy White by a 4-0 scoreline in a dominant display. Cahill proved at the Crucible that he has a big future in the game and spoke to howeveryoulikebreak.com reporter Curtis Braithwaite after the match and said ” It’s such a privilege to play a legend like Jimmy and I’m very happy with my performance, i know i’ve set the bar high after my victory over Ronnie at the Crucible and i just hope i can follow that up this season.
