Two time World finalist Ali Carter who is also known as “The Captain” by his peers is relishing taking on Jack Lisowski in what’s likely to be a very open encounter.

Carter told howeveryoulikebreak.com reporter Curtis Braithwaite “Jack is a great talent and likes to go for his shots so im expecting fireworks as im also in good form at the moment after coming through 3 tough qualifiers to get here and i also feel I’m due a decent run here so fingers crossed that this could be my year”.

It will also be interesting to see how Lisowski reacts to being a seed for the first time as it comes with a different pressure.

Many believe that it’s only a matter of time before Lisowski wins a ranking event but it remains to be seen and the longer the wait is the more the pressure builds.
