Today we see the First day of the Semi – finals which sees players competing in the best of 33 frames over the next 3 days plus we at the excited see if any of the players will be able to achieve 147 that has currently alluded them. Shaun Murphy is still at the top of the leader board with his 144 score .

For reaching the Semi- finals each player receives £100,000 but the phenomenal prize awaits the winner with not only the World Championship Trophy but the £500,000 cheque.

This afternoon match we saw Stuart Bingham compete against Mark Selby . With both players achieving 4 frames each ,we see them return to the table tomorrow morning at 10am to continue their journey to reach the finals with another 13 frames needed to add to their current total.

We saw Kyren Wilson meet Shaun Murphy at 7pm tonight at the start of their Semi final match. After almost 3 hours Wilson was leading 6-2 over Murphy. They meet again tomorrow at 2.30pm where we know their dream is to secure the 17 frames needed to reach the final.
