Day two of Round 1 with 12 players looking to compete today to enable them to have an opportunity to reach the finals on the 3rd May
Players are competing in the best of 19 frames .
Currently at the top of the Centuries leader board is Ronnie O’Sullivan with his 137 score.
Yan Bingtao started this morning play at 4 all with Martin Gould and within 3 hours of play wins the additional 6 frames securing his place into the next round
We then saw David Gilbert securing his place in the second round when he started this afternoon play 7-2 up on Chris Wakelin in just over 2 1/2 hours Gilbert achieved the 3 extra frames need to give him the 10 frames in total needed to secure his place in Round 2
In this evenings performances we also saw Jamie Jones who was already 5-4 frames up against Stephen Maguire when his match commenced at 7pm. Jones with an Outstanding performance went on to secure the remaining 5 frames he needed in 2 hours ensuring his place in Round 2.
Neil Robertson also played some phenomenal frames . When his matched commenced this evening he was 6-3 over Liang Wenbo,. Robertson secured the remaining 4 frames in less than 1 1/2 hours which will see him moving onto Round 2 .
