This Sunday 9th May the World Cup of Pool returns as 32 nations collide aiming to lift the trophy along with the title which takes place in Milton Keynes, England.
The World Cup of Pool has been an established major event in 9-ball since 2006 and adopts a straight-knockout format. Matches are race to 7 in the first two rounds, race to 9 in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, and race to 11 in the final so we know the pressure will be on from the outset.
The events brings together the very best players from across the globe in 32 two-man teams. so who will take home the title this year?
Austrian pair Albin Ouschan and Mario He are defending champions having won the trophy for a second time in 2019. Previous winners of the World Cup of Pool include Philippines, China and USA.
We know the players will be anxious to reach the finals and will need to dig deep to bring everything they have to the table to enable them to reach the finals where Champions not only lift the Trophy but a cheque for $60,000 per pair and the Runner ups walk away with $30,000 per pair
