We have seen the last set of 64 players competing in the first round .
As this event has a unique set of rules compared to normal tournaments being matches lasting a maximum of 10 minutes and a shot clock of 15 seconds for the first 5 minutes and then reduces to 10 seconds for the last 5.
This continues to make for a lot of pressure on players.
We also saw the reigning number one Women’s snooker champion Reanne Evans compete again in this years Shoot out which she has done after making history by competing in this event since 2019 and was the first woman to compete on television in the final stages of a world ranking event which is outstanding news for the sport.
Sadly Reanne didn’t win her frame against John Astley who won 1-0 .
This year Reanne has been joined by Rebecca Kenna, who made her professional debut yesterday against Simon Litchenberg where she sadly lost out in the frame .
Mark Allen is still top of the Centuries board with his century break of 142 .
It all continues tomorrow at 1pm in Milton Keynes.
